Last Thursday we celebrated the launch of our Point Blank LA Music School.Hundreds of interested DJs and Producers came to our open house to see what the industry buzz is all about, as they were treated to studio tours, a master class by Mark de Clive Lowe, and a discussion panel featuring Ian Hultuquist of Passion Pit, Wade Metzler of Sound Exchange, Michael Frick of Morphonics, moderated by Grammy-nominated music producer Jesse Rogg. Last night, after the 57th Annual Grammy Awards, Mack Sennett Studios, Quantumhand and Maavven welcomed The Black Keys to our studio for an Official Grammy After Party, celebrating their nominations for Turn Blue, which was up for Best Rock Album, and Fever, which was up for Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance. Thank you to The Spare Room Off Site for providing the bar and to Sonos and SoundExchange for making this epic music industry celebration possible.
